Combining a 50-story tower and a four-story podium building, the Ningbo Bank of China Headquarters will form a new landmark in the financial district of Ningbo Eastern New City. The site features a network of green spaces and pedestrian paths that enliven the street and strengthen connections to the surrounding city. The western portion opens to an adjacent urban park while the eastern part includes direct banking and retail facilities along with landscaped pathways.

The tower's dynamic form will provide a strong iconic image for both Ningbo and the Zhejiang province. The building is triangular in plan with rounded corners that optimize both office space and views. Vertically, the shape of the tower twists, shifting with it the building's vantage points over the adjacent park and neighboring buildings. While the tower form rotates, the structural columns remain vertical in elevation, providing an economical structural solution to the complex geometry.

A large canopy integrates the tower and podium building into a single composition. This fluid, expansive piece wraps around the tower and forms the roof and facade screen of the podium, while covering a pedestrian walkway. The crown of the tower contains amenity spaces for the bank's VIP guests, which are surrounded by an open-air rooftop garden offering views to landmark buildings and prominent urban districts.
